This print was meticulously produced using the historic 19th-century darkroom photographic technique known as the Van Dyke process. Each step of this intricate method was executed entirely by hand, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship inherent in traditional photography.

The process begins with a sheet of paper coated in a hand-mixed, light-sensitive solution composed of iron and silver salts. A negative image is then placed directly onto the paper, and the paper is exposed to natural sunlight. This exposure initiates the formation of the image on the paper's surface, which is subsequently washed and fixed to halt the chemical reaction.

The result is a unique sepia-toned image rich in texture. Each print is individually handcrafted, ensuring that every piece is truly one of a kind.
